Wild North Alaska Yoga Retreat

July 14–19, 2027

Seward, Alaska | Lowell Point | Resurrection Bay

We’ve been dreaming about this for years! We’re returning to Alaska for an even deeper, more expansive Wild North experience.

Join Boreal Bliss Yoga Retreats for six unforgettable days in the far north. Where mountains rise straight out of the ocean, wildlife moves through your field of vision, and the pace of life softens enough for you to truly arrive.

Our home for the week is Salted Roots, a boutique cabin retreat tucked into the forest on scenic Lowell Point, overlooking Resurrection Bay, just outside Seward.

This is a retreat for those who crave nature, movement, awe, and wonder.

What to Expect

5 nights / 6 days of soulful Alaskan living, including:

  • High quality accommodations at Salted Roots & Rustic Roots

  • Daily yoga and meditation

  • Wood-fired sauna

  • Mindful hikes and beach walks

  • Optional wildlife and glacier excursions

  • Local fresh cuisine and catered meals for the group

  • Campfires and spacious free time

  • A pace that invites both adventure and rest

The journey begins with one of the most scenic drives in the U.S. : a 2.5-hour coastal route from Anchorage to Seward.

Seward & Lowell Point

Nestled between Chugach National Forest and Kenai Fjords National Park, Seward is known as the Gateway to the Kenai Fjords.

Lowell Point sits just 2½ miles south of town: where the road ends and wilderness begins. From the beach, it’s common to spot sea otters, seals, bald eagles, porpoises, and even humpback or orca whales.

This is Alaska at its most alive.

Boutique Accommodations & Approachable Luxury

Our stay at Salted Roots offers approachable luxury. Spaces that are intentionally designed, beautifully detailed, and refreshingly unpretentious. Each cabin and cottage feels elevated yet welcoming, refined yet easy to settle into.

Sleeping arrangements include a mix of king, queen, and twin beds, all made with high-quality linens, plush pillows, and cozy bedding provided.

Comfortable mattresses and thoughtful details support deep, restorative sleep; an essential part of the retreat experience.

Designed to feel like a true retreat home:

  • Warm, well-appointed sleeping spaces

  • Comfortable beds with quality bedding included

  • Private, semi-private, or group layouts that balance solitude and connection

  • A calm, grounded atmosphere that invites rest and presence

This is not formal luxury, rather a luxury you can relax into. A place where you can exhale, sleep deeply, and feel held by both comfort and nature.

We’ve reserved this entire Alaskan venue: Salted Roots + Rustic ROots

Private Rooms and Sharing Space on Retreat

Our lodging at Salted Roots & Rustic Roots provides both private and shared accommodation options.

Accommodations that include shared sleeping spaces, is a common and often cherished part of the retreat experience. Beds are thoughtfully arranged, and every guest is provided a comfortable bed with quality bedding, ensuring rest and personal space are honored.

Shared lodging often becomes a meaningful part of the retreat; offering quiet companionship, easeful mornings, and a sense of connection. All while allowing plenty of space for solitude, reflection, and rest.

If you have specific preferences or concerns around sleeping arrangements, we’re happy to help you find the best fit.

Reconnect with your body and mind as you escape the noise of everyday life.

Amanda Imes

"I felt so at-home, sometimes I forgot I was even in Alaska! The views were unreal, like I was inside of a painting. Our last retreat in Alaska sparked the bestest dance party ever, and the memories are one-of-a-kind."
"I used to feel stressed bc I didn’t know where my “soul place” was. Alaska is the closest I’ve found to my soul place. It’s one of the only places I’ve felt furthest from the trappings of modern life and closest to the wild."

Bryana Cook

Co-owner, Retreat Leader, Yoga Teacher, LICSW, E-RYT 500, Wilderness First Aid Certified

Bryana stumbled into her first yoga class in middle school and has been captivated ever since. She brings Boreal Bliss Yoga retreats to life full-time, with joy, intention, and care.

"Alaska's landscape is larger than life. The raw beauty brings me perspective; making me feel small in the grand scheme of things, yet in the best way possible. I've found that traveling to Alaska always brings the most unique and vibrant experiences."
  • "The beauty of Alaska is similar to Minnesota, but on psychedelics."

    2024 Wild North Retreater: Kiwi

  • “A journey into the Alaskan wilderness will leave you with an indelible impression that will stay with you forever.”

    Jeffrey Siger

  • “Alaska is a place that constantly reminds you of just how small you are in the grand scheme of things. It’s a humbling experience.”

    Outside Magazine

  • “Never go to Alaska as a young man because you'll never be satisfied with any other place as long as you live."
