New Year’s Live Virtual Workshop

Annual Yoga + Journaling + Intention Setting Workshop

Workshop description:

By the time January 1st rolls around we feel the familiar itch, the call of a new year. It beckons us to shed the past year and look forward to the new one with hope. 

Change is not made overnight. It is very unlikely that we go to sleep one night, and wake up the next day with entirely new habits or entirely new life circumstances. We shouldn’t expect so much of change, or demand so much of ourselves.  Change happens gradually, through small, incremental changes over long periods of time. With intentional check-ins of our values and our actions, we can move toward a life aligned with our values and aspirations.

We are constantly growing into new versions of ourselves. It is important to take time to pause and notice the shifts that are occurring. 

Beginning with a gentle morning yoga practice with both Amanda and Bryana of Boreal Bliss. We practice inclusive and accessible yoga for all bodies and abilities. Class will include breathing and mindfulness techniques. 

We alternate between gentle, mindful movement and journal prompts to help you reflect on the year that’s passed, finding the moments you felt most alive, and identifying how and when you felt most supported. What made you feel great, and how can you do more of that?

Midway through the session we transition to questions about the coming year. What are you just curious about? What are your core values? What are some goals for the coming year that are aligned with values established in the first half of the session?

Over time small changes have transformational power.


What to bring:

  • Your yoga mat

  • Journal + pen (colored pencils/markers/pens if you like to get creative)

  • Cozy clothing 

  • Blanket, pillow

  • Water and/or warm tea/coffee

  • Quiet space so that you can fully enjoy your experience

Light a candle, make yourself a comfy space, grab your mat and journal, and treat yourself to 120 minutes of self-care. It can be fun to share the practice and your answers with a friend or loved one!
