Flow Retreat
Yoga, Nature, Art
October 1-4, 2026
At Camp Olson in Longville, MN
Flow state is a mental space where you’re fully absorbed in a single activity. A state of optimal experience where time slips away and your focus is complete.
Immerse yourself in the Northwoods this fall. Breathe in the crisp air, marvel at the vibrant colors, and take in the serene beauty of the outdoors. Pair this stunning natural setting with yoga, meditation, creative workshops, and outdoor adventures for a truly restorative experience.

Art
“You don’t have to be any good at an art form to derive great benefits. I sing. I write really bad poetry. I dance. I collage. We’re not talking about being a virtuoso. It’s simpler and more accessible than that.” - Susan Magsamen & Ivy Ross, Your Brain on Art
-
Movement
The great outdoors in the fall is absolutely dreamy. Hiking, kayaking, canoeing, yoga, and meditation will leave you satisfied. Yoga outside as much as possible. Bring your bike to pedal around the campus if you like. The lakeside sauna + lake dip is a gem!
-
Nature
Camp Olson provides a serene landscape for nature immersion. Over 1,000 acres to explore. Get curious. Witness the sunrise and sunsets over Little Boy Lake. Gaze at the stars. Listen for the migrating loons calling across the lake. Appreciate the natural beauty of the fall colors.
Retreat with us in the tranquility of the northwoods.
Flow State Characteristics
You’re fully present in the moment, completely absorbed in what you’re doing.
Distractions fade away, and your mind feels clear.
There’s a gentle balance of joy and challenge in the activity.
Self-judgment slips away.
Your senses feel alive, noticing the subtle beauty around you.
A calm, mindful awareness guides each moment.
Yoga Sessions
We provide top-notch yoga sessions, weaving our retreat theme into all yoga and meditation classes. With daily indoor and outdoor options to suit your needs and energy.
A mix of gentle and restorative classes will be offered, in addition to challenging and energetic classes.
We love to bring beginners, as well as seasoned practitioners into the fold!
Art Workshops
We will have optional art & creativity workshops to incorporate into your retreat. Find your flow state!
The talented Cat Cronemeyer will be once again leading an array of delightful art workshops.
Hike + Paddle
A delightful way to experience the beauty of Camp Olson is hiking and kayaking, canoeing, or paddling boarding. You can opt for any of these activities at anytime, included in your retreat or join a guided experience.
There are six lakes inside the Camp Olson property, and over 1,000 acres to explore. Notable lakes include Little Boy, Cooper, and The Shurds.
The Shurds is a stunning and private connection of three small lakes, surrounded by hiking trails. Reminiscent of a State Park or Boundary Waters day trip, yet without the hassle of extensive preparation or distance. Enjoy the quiet beauty of a mindful hike or paddle in these quiet waters.
We will offer small-group guided hike & paddle experiences on Friday and Saturday in these private lakes and trails. An awe-inspiring experience anytime, but particularly striking in the fall!
The Food!
Six meals are included in your weekend: Thursday dinner, Friday brunch & dinner, Saturday brunch & dinner, and Sunday breakfast.
All meals catered by The Green Scene: Eatery & Market. Green Scene does food SO WELL! It’s an entire delightful experience of the senses. For real.
Options available for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free etc. Tea + coffee will also be available. We send out a survey about a month prior to learn about any dietary restrictions/allergies.
Lakeside Wood-fired Sauna
Camp Olson has a large, lakeside, wood-fired sauna that we adore! There’s nothing like an authentic sauna experience in the woods, followed by a refreshing dip into scenic Little Boy Lake!
The Finnish tradition of sauna invites relaxation, warmth, and wellness to your weekend.
Optional Book Club Read
Opt to purchase and read Karen Walrond’s book In Defense of Dabbling: the brilliance of being a total amateur

Add a private massage appointment to your retreat!
Jill Jacobson grew up in northern Minnesota. She went to college for Horticulture, Floral Design, and Massage Therapy. In 2014, she married into the Jacobson family who owns Hiawatha Beach Resort on Steamboat Bay of Leech Lake, 8 miles north of Walker. She is currently a stay-at-home mom of three little ones. Massage is where she finds peace and relaxation; a way to ground herself and connect with the energy of others. Jill has been doing massage for over 10 years.
She loves to be able to provide a modality where people can begin to heal and restore their mind, body, and spirit.

4-6 weeks notice: $80 fee
4 weeks and less notice : 75% of total amount fee

We hope that you can appreciate the amount of time, love, and energy we wholeheartedly put into each retreat. Not just during the event, but the many months leading up to it.
Please note: Our winter venue does not issue refunds due to weather. As such, we are unlikely to cancel the retreat except in a very extreme scenario. In most situations, we hope our guests plan ahead to accommodate Minnesota weather conditions in winter to safely travel to and from the retreat- which may occasionally mean allowing extra travel time.
In the event of widespread extreme weather, including highway closures, the retreat will be rescheduled. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled weekend, you may be able to receive a partial refund or transfer credit to a future retreat. If the retreat is not cancelled/rescheduled, we will be unable to issue refunds on an individual basis due to the weather.
