I had a C-Section
I had an obsession with “natural” labor. My husband and I did a virtual labor and delivery course and we skipped the chapter on c-sections ….we confidently felt we wouldn’t be needing that route. When we found ourselves faced with prepping for the operating room I thought, “we didn’t watch the damn video on this.”

Filling in the Gaps to an Outdoor Life: Maple Syrup
Something important happens on the edge of winter and spring, and it offers an excellent opportunity to engage yourself and your family with the woods. The maple trees are just as anxious as we are to get on with the growing season, and as the temperatures fluctuate above and below the freezing point the maples start preparing.

Each individual pursues yoga teacher training for different reasons, and often a spectrum of desired outcomes. One thing I can promise you about yoga teacher training- it will take you out of your comfort zone and open your heart and mind to new possibilities. Are you ready to take the leap?

One year as a mom, almost a year since "six weeks to flatten the curve"
Three weeks after Oslo was born we entered the initial lockdowns and “six weeks to flatten the curve.”
We haven’t been able to go anywhere or see anyone- which has been both the best and worst way to live through a first year.
Winter Wonderland Adventures
We had resolved to only do virtual opportunities until warmer weather appeared again. Health, safety, and care has always been our number one priority. And then, we realized that by not hosting our annual February retreats at Deep Portage, we were impacting several of our small business partners.
