Early Bird Discounts on Winter Retreats: one ending, one beginning

Summer is here, but a solid winter fun plan is needed! Our January retreat early bird registration discount ends July 12th. Our February retreat early bird registration discount opens August 1st!

While both of our winter retreats share a love of winter adventure, mindfulness, and meaningful rest, each offers a distinctly different atmosphere and experience.

Friluftsliv Retreat

January 7–10, 2027 | Camp du Nord | Ely, MN

If your ideal winter getaway includes wilderness immersion, outdoor adventure, and embracing the magic of northern winters, our Friluftsliv Yoga Retreat may be calling your name.

Located on Burntside Lake just outside Ely and on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, this retreat is inspired by the Norwegian philosophy of friluftsliv, which translates to “open air living.” The entire weekend is designed around reconnecting with nature and experiencing the joy of winter.

Expect cozy fireside yoga sessions beside giant picture windows, snowy hikes, twinkle lights, fireside gatherings, and invigorating winter activities.

Retreaters can choose between two retreat tracks during registration:

  • Adventure Track for those craving more active exploration and outdoor energy

  • Restore Track for those wanting a slower-paced, deeply restorative experience

Included in this retreat:

  • 3 nights, 4 days lodging

  • Daily yoga and meditation

  • Cross country skiing and snowshoeing

  • Sledding

  • Wild ice skating

  • Lakeside sauna and ice hole cold plunge

  • Wilderness immersion

  • Campfires and journaling

  • Specialty workshops

  • Excellent meals served in community in the dining hall

  • Option to add massage or Thai yoga bodywork appointments

This retreat leans into the excitement and possibility of a new year. It’s ideal for participants who feel nourished by movement, winter adventure, and the rejuvenating energy of being fully immersed in nature.

Early Bird Registration Discount

Early bird registration ends July 12, with accommodations ranging from shared cabins to private rooms.

Rest Retreat

February 19–21, 2027 | Deep Portage Learning Center | Hackensack, MN

Our Rest Retreat invites participants into a gentler late-winter exhale.

Set within the peaceful woods of Deep Portage Learning Center, this retreat is centered around intentional rest, self-care, and discovering what restoration personally means to you. Rather than prescribing a single definition of “rest,” the weekend encourages guests to tune inward and choose the experiences that best support their mind, body, and soul.

Importantly, this retreat recognizes that rest doesn’t always mean stillness. Some people recharge through quiet reflection, while others need movement, challenge, laughter, or adventure to truly unwind. The schedule is intentionally flexible and balanced.

Included in this retreat:

  • 2 nights, 3 days lodging

  • Daily yoga and meditation sessions by the giant fireplace and picture windows

  • Guided journaling

  • Wood-fired sauna and cold plunge

  • Snowshoeing and cross country skiing

  • Indoor rock climbing wall

  • Lookout tower hike

  • Winter campfire

  • Cozy indoor workshops

  • Tea, coffee, and nourishing catered meals from Green Scene Eatery & Market

Additional wellness add-ons include massage therapy, Reiki, Thai yoga bodywork, and optional mocktail and fresh juice experiences.

This retreat feels deeply nurturing, grounded, and introspective. This is an opportunity to pause before spring and replenish yourself in whatever way feels most authentic.

Early Bird Registration Discount

Early bird registration runs August 1–September 14, with options ranging from day passes, to shared and private rooms.

Both retreats offer beautiful yoga practices, meaningful community connection, nourishing meals, and the magic of winter in northern Minnesota. Whether you’re craving adventure, rest, or a little of both, there’s a retreat experience waiting for you this winter.
