We’re Going Back to Maplelag!
There are places that stay with you.
Maplelag Resort in little Callaway, MN is one of those places for us.
The last time we gathered at Maplelag was January 2021. We were looking forward to returning the following winter, but as you may know, they tragically experienced a total loss fire of their beautiful lodge.
Our winter retreat in 2022 needed to be rescheduled. And then, as often happens, time kept moving and plans changed.
But we never really forgot about Maplelag.
A lot has changed since we were last there. The cabins have all been upgraded, there’s a beautiful new sauna, a new group center, and the grounds have continued to evolve. It will be familiar, but different.
And this time, we're going in spring.
That’s what makes this return especially exciting.
Instead of snow-covered trails and winter quiet, we'll get to see Maplelag waking up. The first little plants pushing through. New flowers appearing. The sounds of migrating birds returning. The woods changing a little more every day. The trails beginning to dry out and open up. All those small signs that winter is finally letting go and everything is coming alive again.
It feels like the perfect time to go back.
And the perfect theme for our retreat: Fresh Perspective.
Whether you've been to Maplelag with us before or this will be your first visit, we're looking forward to experiencing it together: with fresh eyes and a little more curiosity.
We'll spend four days moving, hiking, practicing yoga, meditating, eating well, warming up in the sauna, taking the occasional cold plunge in the lake, gathering around the fire, and leaving plenty of room for rest and simply being outside.
I'm especially looking forward to discovering all the little “firsts” that come with spring. The first flower. The first green sprouts on the trails.
Fresh Perspective.
