Announcing Adventure Awaits registration launch this Sunday
These are the moments when the world feels especially heavy. When the heartbreak asks more of our nervous systems than we know how to give.
I know for certain that my brain just doesn’t really know how to function right now.
In times like these, rest is not an escape from reality. It’s a way of remembering how to stay present within it.
Spending time in peaceful places in nature is not just a nicety, it is a requirement.
Our Annual Adventure Awaits Yoga Retreats at Birchwood Wilderness Camp, on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, was created as an invitation to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and spend intentional time in community. It’s grounded in simplicity, reflection, and the steady rhythms of the northwoods.
Why the Boundary Waters
My time spent in the BWCAW has honestly never been anything less than exactly what I needed.
The Boundary Waters holds a rare kind of quiet.
Ancient rock, pristine water, boreal forest, and skies that stretch wide enough to remind us what steadiness feels like again. Here, the nervous system softens naturally. Time expands. Breath deepens.
This retreat is not about doing more. It’s about allowing space for what’s already within you to settle.
What this retreat offers
Over the course of our time together, you’ll be guided through experiences designed to support restoration and presence, including:
Daily yoga, meditation, and breathwork practices suitable for all levels
Guided & outfitted Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness day trips
Time immersed in the wilderness
Community connection
Evenings grounded by nature and simplicity
There will be time for conversation, silence, journaling, walking, and simply being. There will be space to move, breathe, feel connected, to laugh, and to engage in playful fun. No pressure to perform, fix, or produce.
A space to arrive as you are
This retreat is intentionally small and thoughtfully paced.
You don’t need to come feeling calm, centered, or “ready.” You only need to come willing to arrive exactly as you are.
The Boundary Waters has a way of meeting people gently, as well as offering perspective without demanding answers.
