Ten years of “hidden talents”, mishaps, Type B fun, dance parties, themes, and book clubs.

Ten years ago we just hoped enough of our friends would sign up to make it worth it.

We never could have imagined any of this. I never would’ve imagined myself portaging in the BWCA or finding a best friend with a magical Peter Pan wilderness camp at the end of the Gunflint. I never could’ve imagined going to Costco with Stacy and Bryana and confidently getting all the supplies we’d need for the Alaskan Outback.

I honestly thought I had my lifetime allotment of friends and that I wouldn’t make any new friends after age 25.

Ten years of unlearning unhelpful behaviors and thought patterns. Ten years of learning new tools to cope with the stresses and heartbreaks of life.

Ten years of working toward the current version of myself.

And gosh darnit, if I’m not kind of excited to see what the next ten years hold….

This February marks the official ten year anniversary of Boreal Bliss at Deep Portage.

Maybe you haven’t retreated with us in a few years. Maybe you’ve never joined us.

We hope to celebrate with you with all the warmth and joy of a Boreal Bliss yoga retreat in the midst of winter.

In February, there will be relaxation. There will be cozy, fireside vibes, with soothing hot tea. We will embrace REST. We will rest our hearts out, in all the ways.

In March, there will be dancing. Also, lots of cozy relaxation. There will be a silver/gold theme to celebrate the JUBILEE. We will be embracing all things 90s.
